Submission Guidelines
We'll use your PIC account info to automatically generate your byline and X (Twitter) link, and we'll catalog your accepted jokes on your Author Page, in our Jokes section, on the homepage, and around the site. We currently don't have a way to check on the status of joke submissions—we do read and review every joke though. You'll get an email notification if a joke is accepted, typically within 10 days, otherwise please assume we've passed on it.
We occasionally post jokes to our social platforms. If you've added social links to your PIC profile, we'll tag you in those posts if possible.
Things that could help a joke's chances with us:
- Evergreen material
- Laugh out loud funny
- Weird funny
- Specific funny
- Additional depth/layers/tags
- Fresh fare or flair
Things that may deter us from accepting a joke:
- Late night monologue-style setup/punchlines
- Recent newscycle stuff
- Minor wordplay alone
- Satire news headlines
