The Super Bowl is on its way, and that means it's time for the NFL to start handing out some jokes. It can be time-consuming to keep up with all of them, so we've compiled a list of 11 of the best ones from previous seasons and made up the terrible ones just because we can!

The first one comes from our very own team member, Ryan, who made these up while on an ultimate NFL road trip (blame him if you're offended)! Here are the 11 best NFL jokes.

Cowboys Love Jokes

1. What do the Dallas Cowboys and a dollar bill have in common?
They both look better on the outside than on the inside.

We didn't find that funny, but lots of cowboys on Twitter loved this joke. No accounting for taste, we suppose.

2. How many Chicago Bears does it take to win a Super Bowl?
Not enough!

Nope, this joke was terrible as well.

Q: What do you call a Chicago Bear with a Super Bowl ring?
A: A robber!

Before you complain to the publication, you could change the club to suit your football taste.

3. Why don't New England Patriots fans watch TV anymore?
Because all their furniture is in storage due to Deflategate.

Anyone? Nope, it's tumbleweed here.

Jokes about the Ref

Q: What do you call an older person in a wheelchair at a football game?
A: A referee

4. What's an Indianapolis Colts fan's favorite part about wintertime?
Shoveling out of his driveway so he can go back inside and watch more football.

Is that a joke? It is somewhere beyond terrible.

5. What do you call 11 Philadelphia Eagles fans standing ear to ear?
A wind tunnel.

Insulting and not a tiny bit funny!

6. Why did the Detroit Lions player give up football for piano lessons?
He wanted to tell his kids that he loved them too much for football, but not as much as he loved music.

So bad, and not at all funny.

7. What's the difference between a soccer ball and a football?
Size! It must have been a man who said size doesn't matter. Not a joke, my friend, just a fact of life.

NFL Dog Jokes

A dog with golden blonde hair looks into the camera with a bicycle and US flag in the background.

8. A Chiefs supporter and his dog are in a saloon. When the Chiefs score a goal, in celebration, the dog dances down the aisle and high-fives the crowd. Following another goal, the dog buys everyone a drink. The bartender inquires of the guy what he would do if they scored a touchdown, to which the man responds, “I don't know, I've only had him for three years.”

Nope, nothing, nada. The only funny thing here is the idea of a talking dog.

9. The Jets were worried during today's practice in East Rutherford and contacted the appropriate authorities. According to team reps, there was a weird white material on the pitch that the squad had never seen before. Further examination revealed that the odd white material was, in fact, the goal line.

10. Where do Oakland residents go during a tornado?
The coliseum because there is never a touchdown.

Meh….

Finally, you will be pleased to hear…

11. How many Niners fans does it take to change a lightbulb?
None, lava lamps don't burn out, man!

Please save us from the terrible stereotypes by giving us some interesting facts! Okay then, here are some facts that might interest you.

NFL Interesting facts

The Super Bowl is a massive deal in that it's the most-watched game in all of America. Every third person on this continent awaits its arrival each year! Additionally, 100 million people tune in to watch over two minutes to see who will take home victory and glory.

To help you visualize how many football fans there are according to Census Bureau figures, 330 million, imagine every single one lined up end-to-end, then walk past them slowly. It would take us the entire season to pass them, and we're not spending our time walking when we can be watching, placing a bet, and eating hot dogs.

Betting is Part of the Fun

Betting can also be a source of entertainment, and gambling in sports has been around since the beginning!

It might surprise you, but people don't realize what an integral part betting plays in American culture—especially in football where it seems everyone from fans all across America have some sort of bet going at any given moment during the game season (or before).

The Super Bowl: Facts

The Super Bowl is the zenith of a fantastic NFL season, and two teams size up their strength each year. As we mentioned, over 100 million people tune in to watch this exciting game!

The first time a football game was ever broadcast on live television happened when NBC showed the Green Bay Packers beating the Kansas City Chiefs with Franco Harris, leading them into victory after running for one yard right before halftime. That was a score that would turn out not just as memorable, but a total accident.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and New England have been the most decorated teams in NFL history, with six titles. The Cowboys are second at five wins, while San Francisco has four to their name.

Green Bay follows close behind them with three Super Bowl triumphs, including one back-to-back championship run from 1974 through 1976 under coach Bill Lamonica.

The only other team who managed two consecutive championships was “Steeler's Town,” Pennsylvania: it seems that this part of America does produce some incredible football players!
