So before I became a world-famous blogger, I was a no-named playwright. Up until a few months ago, I still was, but not anymore. Feast your eyes on something Shakespeare wishes his bitch-ass would have written. I penned this masterpiece for my kindergarten's English play. Enjoy!

Theme: Other Countries and Vacations – USA/China/UK /Australia/Canada

Things Needed: Props (hats, photos of animals or food)

PLAN: Parents and Teachers can be involved as citizens of countries.

INTRO

KID 1: Why do we study English?

KID 2: English is the global language.

1: Where do they speak English?

2: The USA, the UK, Australia and Canada. Even China speaks English!

1: Wow! We should go and see the world.

2: But where should we go?

1: Let's ask some friends!

USA

3: We can go to the USA.

4: What do they have?

3: The USA has DisneyLand, the Statue of Liberty and the Grand Canyon.

4: What language do they speak?

3: They speak English in the USA.

4: Oh, we can fit right in!

3: Let's go and see the USA!

(They go to the USA)

4: Wow!

3: New York City has tall buildings!

4: Los Angeles has Disneyland!

3: And they make many movies over here!

4: I'm hungry. What should we eat?

3: We can eat hamburgers, pizza, chicken and all types of food.

UK

5: Where should we go?

6: I've always wanted to see the United Kingdom.

5: The UK is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

6: English was started in England.

5: How interesting.

6: What should we see?

5: We can see Big Ben, a football game or even the Queen!

6: What can we eat?

5: England is famous for Fish and Chips.

6: Wow, sounds yummy!

CHINA

7: We should see China.

8: What language does China speak?

7: They speak Chinese, but many people also speak English.

8: What can we see?

7: The Great Wall of China, where they make Nikes and many other historical artifacts.

8: They also have pandas.

7: What can we eat?

8: Many delicious things!

CANADA

9: What language do they speak in Canada?

10: They speak English and French.

9: Wow. Let's go to Canada!

10: Canada is very green and the people are very friendly!

10: What can we see in Canada?

9: Canada has many natural resources, forests and animals.

10: I want to watch a hockey game!

9: I want to go fishing for salmon!

10: Can we stay in an igloo?

9: We probably can!

AUSTRALIA

A: Let's go to Australia, or as everybody else calls it, Down Under.

B: What's there to do in Australia?

A: They have many beautiful beaches, boomerangs, the Great Barrier Reef and kangaroos!

B: Neat! How interesting. I want to go surfing!

A: I want to pet a koala bear.

B: What's there to eat?

A: We can put a shrimp on the Barbie!

B: What's that?

A: They barbecue delicious shrimp. They also have great steak!

B: Wow! This country is just like Outback Steakhouse! 

CLOSING

C: We sure learned a lot about countries.

D: Which one was your favorite?

C: I liked the big buildings in the USA.

D: I liked the history of the UK.

E: I liked the Great Wall of China.

F: I liked the nice people in Canada.

G: I liked the animals in Australia.

H: I'm sure glad we learned English. Now we can go see the world and feel at home anywhere.
