Why is it called Points in Case?
Because you don't know what it means. The subtle confusion you experience when thinking about the name “Points in Case” is the very reason I chose this ambiguous title for my first column. It is not case in point. I am not trying to convince you of something. Therefore, the use of examples is entirely optional. It's more like, “Here are some points to consider in case this happens to you.” But it could also be less like that too. (Note: It is not Pointincase, Pointandcase, or GrammaticallyBefuddled)
Where are your College Quotes from?
Students everywhere who submit them. I don't see how this is confusing anymore since we put the college of origin below each quote now, but sometimes people think they're all from one college.
Are those AIM Convos real?
Yes. Believe it or not, they are ALL real and unedited, save for the occasional spelling correction to eliminate confusion. That means I actually sit down at least once a week and have them with random people. This is easy, however, considering every time I take my privacy preferences off, I get over 100 IM's in an hour. Take a look. Thanks to a program called DeadAIM, my screen isn't a living IM popup machine.
Are you a bot?
Yes and no.
So-and-so's latest article is offensive/stupid/sexist/racist, why don't you take it down?
Because it's funny. Fortunately, we don't all have the same sense of humor, or the Earth would be a giant laugh track with the moon flashing “LAUGH!” (I don't know what would happen during daytime comedy). Another problem might be that you took one of our articles too seriously. Remember, everything we write is pure comedy, even if it's buried in satire. We don't make efforts to be politically correct, but we're never offensive for the sake of being hateful. Lighten up and have a laugh, or try another article knowing someone else was entertained.
Can I write something for the site?
Sure. You can submit an article for frontpage consideration whenever you like. If you are extra-funny and motivated to write on a weekly basis, please apply for a regular columnist position.
Can I link to your site or one of your articles?
Yes, definitely. You don't need our permission to post a link to anything on the site. In fact, we encourage you to link to your favorite article or page to help us spread the word! (You may NOT copy and paste entire articles or other content from our website.)
