At GrainFed Group, philanthropy is paramount to our enterprise. Childhood hunger is our strategic focus for this year’s mandatory Day of Service, which will run from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. We will deploy small teams to community schools which we have identified as food deficient.
Some of you have voiced opinions stating that we could donate food or money. While we appreciate feedback from our tertiary tier colleagues, this is too on the nose with our industry stature as an agricultural powerhouse. Direct capital or food distribution is short-sighted. We are moving towards a more optics-based single service day with our indelible five-hour outreach.
To kick off GrainFed Group’s Single Day of Service, photo opportunities will take place against a banner that reads “GrainFed Solves Hunger Through Joy.” GrainFed Group will provide employees and children with a poly-blend polo shirt with the company logo. Legal has decided participants will all be equitably sized. We have instituted a single XXL rollout. Each employee should onboard a child for photos. Be discerning in your selection. Children who look both winsome and unmistakably aligned with our hunger initiative are ideal.
We will foster team bonding by hosting a scavenger hunt. Associates and youth partners will search for hidden foodstuffs. This immersive experience will simulate the raw satisfaction of community foraging. Any found sustenance must be returned to the scavenger hunt found food bin.
We will break for an artisanal farm-to-table lunch while the children plant corn. This will provide education that building food stores takes time and solving childhood hunger can’t be achieved by simply eating a meal. The federal government has generously agreed to provide the kernels for this unforgettable event. Children may use surrounding area dirt and organic resources, like their own hands, to dig.
We will conclude with the traditional food toss game where each youth associate will attempt lobbing high-calorie chocolate truffles into the open mouths of GrainFed Group employees. Reverse toss (employee to youth) is prohibited due to liability issues. Any unsuccessful attempts will be discarded to facilitate discussion about food insecurity.
We are thrilled to showcase our commitment to philanthropy by raising awareness of childhood hunger to such a degree that another entity will be optimally incentivized to solve it.
It is our hope that all employees will be well-nourished for what may be a demanding yet gratifying day. Please submit your lunch selections by EOD. A curated selection of premium add-ons is available for C-Suite participants.
