It had been a few weeks since Kyle, who was away at school, had seen his parents.
He missed them a lot.
The weekend had landed and so he decided to make the 2 hour trip back home. He was able to get a ride up with his friend Drew. But on the way up, Drew had to make a stop over and pick up his sister and her friend.
Kyle got nervous when he heard this news; It meant that he'd be seated in the car with two other girls. Except for his sister and his mother, Kyle had never experienced this before.
Before Kyle got into the car he put on his only cologne – Instinct by David Beckham.
45 mins later when they arrived to pick up the girls, Kyle let Drew's sister sit up front so he could sit in the back with her friend. Her name was Karen Kiang.
“Whatsup?” she immediately said to Kyle as she jumped in the back.
Kyle needed a second to gather himself. She was wearing shorts and she had long, nice legs. Kyle looked away.
For the next two hours on the road, Kyle didn't speak one word to Karen. All he could do is look over once and a while and watch as she slept the whole ride up.
10 years later.
