Here it is, 2 AM on a Sunday night and I'm going to write something.
Let's see…I'll start with a play.

Movie Night
The One Scene Play

[The stage is set up as follows: Stage left is dark, with a flourescent blue couch barlely visible with stage right fully lit] [Enter The Mundane, stage right]The Mundane
Christie knew Karate. She knew Jujitzu. She knew Tai Kwon Do. She knew students, parents, teachers. She never knew a man, but she sure did know officers, judges, and just about every senator this side of the Mississippi. She was active, you know, in the community. That's why we were all surprised when she went all nutty. See, she went in Dale's one day, nobody knows why, and just started clawing people. Viciously, you know. At their coats, sometimes at their jugulars. Anything, you know, just to cause a stir. Hell if I know what exactly happened; but now, the poor girl only knows cotton, oatmeal, sheetless beds and good, old Mark Crispin: managing couselor of the Baltimore County Mental Health Program. Not much, if you ask me though, friend.

[Enter Christie, stage left, sits]Tonight: movie night. Christie sits in the big, soft, teal foam sofa in the main lobby of the seventh floor and watches the movie of the board's choosing. This week I think it's It's a Wonderful Life. The old board's president is a bit of a funny guy, you know, a bit of a wiseguy. But you know, it is the Christmas season and all.

Oh, what am I doin here? Let her tell you the story…I think I'll have me a cigarette.
[Exit The Mundane]Christie
On the floor,
I sit and spore.
It is dust that catches a bluish white,
in the rays of film projector light.
[Enter a Man, coughs]A man coughs…who is this man? Or better yet, who is this man?

[Stage right lights]A Man
The shit you nutty folk come up with.

[Stage right darkens]Christie
I sit and spore
and watch some more
It is the snow
that blows, that blows.
It is the snow that blows.

[Stage right lights)
a Man
A very nice blow to you too, miss.

[a Man exits][Stage right darkens]Christie
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not in a bang, but a whisper.
[Christie exits] [Enter, The Mundane, left]The Mundane
I can see why you think you belong here, friend. But I think it's time to move on.
[Exit]

The End.

I realize this is really fucking strange, but I'm apathetic 🙂
