Chafic LaRochelle-Eid

Chafic LaRochelle is a writer and SAR Tech based in Québec City. His work has appeared in The Fiddlehead, Best Canadian Essays 2023, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, and elsewhere. He writes about the strange ways we try to understand ourselves, usually by inventing speculative disasters, rewriting historical footnotes, or peering too long into the void. He’s currently at work on a children’s book, because that seemed like the logical next step.
