The First of The Worst

Well, here it is. The first blog post. Let's bask in this moment for a... moment, shall we?

Yeah, that's enough of that.

Here's my history with PIC, condensed into a few incomplete sentences because my first draft flowed with all the speed of molasses mixed with bauxite mixed with Absolute Zero, Kelvin:

Reader. Quote Submitter. Commenter. Failed Contributing Writer. Contributing Writer, and now, Blogger.

Now, I don't know what exactly I'll be writing on this here blog. Perhaps I'll have weekly staples (fat chance). Likely, I'll have features that are revisited with the frequency that only degenerate drunks can live up to. In any case, I certainly will have a few motifs that will be visited time and time again, whether you like it or not.


Alcohol

Let's go ahead and get this out of the way; I drink a lot. More than most people agree I should, but less than Jackie Gleason. Somewhere between there, I intend to find a happy medium, or at least pass out in the process.

In short, I feel that a life lived sober is a life lived deprived. The Drink can give courage to the timid, give words to the mute, give life to the listless, and give sex to the ugly. An noble concoction, to be sure.

In fact, I'm about 10 beers deep right now. Take that as you will.

Music

I'm a fan of music, as I'm sure 90% of the human race is. However, I believe that classic rock is the greatest form of music that has ever and will ever grace this dilapidated sphere we call Earth. I will reference it many times in my posts, and I will be blatant about it. If you have a problem with this, leave now, and never come back.

Politics

I'm a conservative. Fiscal and social. I want to keep the money that I earn, and I want my freedoms up to me. That's what conservatism, at its core, means. Do you have a different opinion?

You're wrong. Go suck Hillary's dick. It's small, but it's there.

Video Games

I'm an avid gamer, and a self-described nerd to boot. I'm a huge Star Wars fan (I have a tattoo to prove it, and wear it as a badge of honor). I am currently taking an International Science Fiction Film Studies class. In case you were wondering, I don't exactly mention this when trying to skull-fuck the ladies.

I know a lot about the gaming industry, its history, and the future trends that are sure to come. This will come to the forefront with the arrogance that I portray in my seldom, yet poignant VG pieces.

If I'm not mistaken, with the exception of scant articles by Lucci and Gaudio, I'm the first PIC'er to really tackle the issue of video games. I intend to fill that void with humorous, scathing reviews of video games that I hate, and lighthearted, jovial reviews of games that I support (I kid. I'll never be lighthearted and jovial. I hate humanity).

But mostly, look for completely random entries. It might be poetry. It might be a short story. It might be a random assortment of keys stroked (heh) as a result of me being absolutely hammered and in front of a computer.

All I ask, however, is that you read and enjoy.
