Doha, Qatar

Thushanthi Ponweera is a children's author and poet from Sri Lanka. Her published work includes a middle-grade verse novel, I Am Kavi, and two picture books, My Best Friend's Bangles and Crossing the Finish Line, illustrated by Maithili Joshi. Having moved recently to Qatar, she uses humour to make sense of the unfamiliar and as an antidote to homesickness. Most times, it works.
