My most recent book is "Magic Carpet Poems" (Tebot Bach), and my poetry, fiction, and essays have been featured in Brilliant Corners, The Writer's Almanac With Garrison Keillor, Magazine Americana, The Santa Monica Review, and a host of other journals and magazines. As far as I'm concerned, Richard Pryor's "Live on the Sunset Strip" should be required viewing for all high school students, "Ishtar" is the most underrated movie of the 1980s, and Clint Eastwood's speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention was the funniest stand-up performance of the 21st Century.
