I Actually Do Have Time for Your Sick Little Games
I’ve since had a cancellation, opening a slot when I actually COULD play one of your sick little games.
DC Pierson is an author, actor, and comedian. As an actor, he’s appeared in movies like “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and shows like “Community,” “2 Broke Girls,” “Key & Peele,” and “Weeds.” His novel The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep And Never Had To was a Barnes & Noble Discover selection and won the American Library Association’s ALEX Award, and his young-adult novel Crap Kingdom was a Junior Library Guild selection. He was a founding member of the sketch comedy group DERRICK, whose videos have been viewed over a billion times. He co-wrote and co-starred in the group’s feature film “Mystery Team,” which premiered at Sundance. As a writer for shows like the VMAs and MTV Movie Awards, he’s written for hosts such as Donald Glover, Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Key & Peele, Nikki Glaser, Rebel Wilson, Katy Perry, Queen Latifah, and Miley Cyrus. DC made his comics-writing debut with a Winter Soldier story in Marvel Comics Presents #7, drawn and inked by Alessandro Vitti. He has arguably too much experience in improv comedy. He performed in “Shitty Jobs,” which played to sold-out audiences for a decade every Sunday night at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles. And though he doesn’t do much stand-up these days, he was a featured stand-up comedian at SXSW and San Francisco Sketchfest. He is currently based in Brooklyn.
