Why So Serious?

An all-Dark Knight set of Questions Of The Week. If you haven’t seen the movie, go read something else, because we’re sure to reveal some spoilers.
LET’S GEEK OUT!
First off, the question I’ve really been wanting to ask is “How much do you want to carry around a bunch of knives and grenades wherever you go?” Or, is that just me?
Who’s the best Joker? Heath Ledger? Jack Nicholson? Cesar Romero? Mark Hamill (Batman: The Animated Series)? If you’re cool enough to include the comics, what makes one Joker better than the other?
What did you guys think of Dark Knight? I liked just about everything. I hated Maggie Gillenwhatever, the sonar and the fact that Batman was barely in it. I actually despised Batman Begins because I hated the fight scenes, jump cuts and crappy villains. Mostly, the jump cuts/ultra close-ups during fight scenes in BB confused me.
Next bad guy/girl? Follow-up: should Joker be in the next one? Double follow-up: who should play him?
Best moment in the movie? Follow up: best Joker moment?
IMAX has been sold out forever in NYC. Somebody please describe, how awesome is IMAX compared to regular?
There’s a fire in a warehouse. You have the choice of saving Katie Holmes/Maggie Gyllenhaal, or pushing Joel Schumacher into the fire, which do you do?
Which Bat-Gadget would you add to your Bat-Suit?
I can’t wait for your Bat-Answers. Leave a Bat-Comment and let’s start a serious Bat-Discussion.

(Post a comment)Can we push both Joel and Maggie into the fire? It's the only logical solution. Both should not be in show business, and one of them may or may not have been spliced with canine DNA.
I think we all know who I'm talking about.
I love when an anonymous guy calls someone else a loser on an internet forum.

You're not alone. I've been eyeing my winter wool coat in hopes of adding enough pockets to carry around stuff like that.

Most fun? Nicholson? Most depraved and memorable? Ledger. Most fun to watch at 11 a.m. during summer while in grade school? Cesar Romero. I will fight anyone who disagrees.

Perhaps they can slow things down and draw comic words to hide the stunts (BIFF! BAP! SMACK!).

Should feel bad for laughing at this?
Best moment in the movie? Follow up: best Joker moment?
When Maggie/whoever died. No one cares about Batman's bitches.
When he interrogated the wanna be Batman. Creeped me out a bit.

It punches you in the face. Be sure to see it on the real, huge-ass screen IMAX and not just the slightly larger Cine-Capri-but-we-somehow-get-to-call-it-IMAX-so-we-can-charge-more IMAX
There’s a fire in a warehouse. You have the choice of saving Katie Holmes/Maggie Gyllenhaal, or pushing Joel Schumacher into the fire, which do you do?
Is this Katie Holmes BEFORE Tom Cruise?
Which Bat-Gadget would you add to your Bat-Suit?
A gun. Made Indy's life easier.
The only thing I didnt like about the film was the fact that The Joker seemed to have every building\person\boat in Gotham city rigged to explode, ya know, just in case he ever needed it like.
First off, the question I’ve really been wanting to ask is “How much do you want to carry around a bunch of knives and grenades wherever you go?” Or, is that just me?
No. That would be amazing. I think most people are right there with you. Myself included.
Who’s the best Joker? Heath Ledger? Jack Nicholson? Cesar Romero? Mark Hamill (Batman: The Animated Series)? If you’re cool enough to include the comics, what makes one Joker better than the other?
Ledger. He prepared it and made it his own.

I actually despised Batman Begins because I hated the fight scenes, jump cuts and crappy villains. Mostly, the jump cuts/ultra close-ups during fight scenes in BB confused me.
I loved it. I saw it twice in two days.
Next bad guy/girl? Follow-up: should Joker be in the next one? Double follow-up: who should play him?
The Penguin and it should be played by Dick Cheney.
Best moment in the movie? Follow up: best Joker moment?
Batman and Joker in the holding cell. Best Joker moment is the Pencil Trick.
IMAX has been sold out forever in NYC. Somebody please describe, how awesome is IMAX compared to regular?
No idea. I'd like to know too
There’s a fire in a warehouse. You have the choice of saving Katie Holmes/Maggie Gyllenhaal, or pushing Joel Schumacher into the fire, which do you do?
Saving Maggie. Katie Holmes annoys me as a person.
Which Bat-Gadget would you add to your Bat-Suit?
The Goo Gun
First off, the question I’ve really been wanting to ask is “How much do you want to carry around a bunch of knives and grenades wherever you go?” Or, is that just me?
--I really want to ask people "why so serious?" and make up a new story for some aspect of my past whenever it suits me. And carry around nothing but knives and lint.
Who’s the best Joker? Heath Ledger? Jack Nicholson? Cesar Romero? Mark Hamill (Batman: The Animated Series)? If you’re cool enough to include the comics, what makes one Joker better than the other?
--Heath Ledger broke his brain to play The Joker. No one on the list mixed absolute insanity with honest humor. I mean, hand sanitizer after leaving Dent's room? I actually laughed out loud at that. Sidenote, Ledger based his as closely as he could on The Killing Joke, from what I recall, which was a great set of comics.
-- I think it might be too good. How could the third one be anything other than a disappointment? I mean, even if the Joker were still alive (assuming they don't recast) how could he possibly top himself?
Next bad guy/girl? Follow-up: should Joker be in the next one? Double follow-up: who should play him?
-- Two-Face. Harvey Dent died, not Two-Face. Plus, if he were to still be alive, then it could come out that DENT was still alive, committing crimes and BOOM all the mobsters are back on the streets, thereby creating a shitstorm.
--I doubt anyone could play the Joker like Ledger did. I think actor #2 would either A- do a substandard job because expectations are so high, or B- do as well as Ledger did, and drive himself insane (like Ledger did-- did you read the anecdote about Ledger's mind going a mile a minute, and he took two ambien to pass out from exhaustion, and he woke up like three hours later with his mind DOING THE EXACT SAME FUCKING THING IT WAS DOING BEFORE HE PASSED OUT?!?! He never got rest from becoming the Joker, and it broke him).
Best moment in the movie? Follow up: best Joker moment?
-- For me, and the reason I loved this movie so much, the best moment was the end. It wrapped all elements and themes so fantastically- Batman "living long enough to see himself become the villain" but doing it as the real hero of Gotham, and at the same time cutting ties with the city's expectations of a hero. So great.
-- a few Joker moments- His magic trick. Him deadpanning that he wasn't crazy. His whole interaction with Dent, starting with the "...Hi....," his mouthing how many cops he's killed as if to say, wow that IS a lot. But cinemattically my favorite moment was when they shot him right side up while he was hanging upside down, thereby making him just THAT much askew/off from normal.
There’s a fire in a warehouse. You have the choice of saving Katie Holmes/Maggie Gyllenhaal, or pushing Joel Schumacher into the fire, which do you do?
-- save Maggie. She's a sweetheart and a hottie.
Which Bat-Gadget would you add to your Bat-Suit?
--I dunno man, he had a good amount of shit in there already.
By the way, am I the only one who LOVES Bale's "I'm an awesome billionaire and I will do whatever the fuck I want" moments? I mean, absconding with the WHOLE BALLET? Asleep in huge meetings? So awesome.
God, that felt good.
---That's what she said.
Let me just say I had to force my bf to watch this movie with me because it looked so awesome!
1. Absolutely! If you honestly don't, then you are a freaking wierdo!
2. Ledger made my skin crawl throughout despite being hilarious. Nicholson seems kinda lame after Ledger.
3. Maggie Gillenwhatever's mouth, and Bale's thoughtful Batman voice made me giggle too much.
4. Penguin or Twoface. Joker should be left for several movies because Ledger was just too epic. When they do however, if the next one gets cast as that Shia LeBouf I will hang myself!
5. Joker moment- the Pencil trick for sure! The truck chase and just because it made me smile, when the big black criminal threw the detonator overboard.
6. If there was a fire and I had those two options, I would make a coffee and read a book!
7. It has it all anyway!!!
Wow, great answers everybody! Despite Anony1 calling me a loser, this has been the most refreshing set of comments in the history of the world.
Kate, if your boyfriend doesn't want to see Dark Knight with you, and he doesn't have food poisoning or a family emergency, it's time to find a new boyfriend.
USF Hudson, there's a newer comic called "Batman: The Man Who Laughs" which is supposed to be Batman's first encounter with the Joker. It's pretty bad ass. I know "The Killing Joke" is the Joker everybody wants to see and know, but "TMWL" is brilliant.
And does anybody give a damn about my answers to my questions?
I'll have to check it out, thanks Freeman.
And yes I do want to hear your answers.
