I felt like I should take a departure from the norm, and I liked the (now defunct) series on Hobos for many reasons, not the lest of which that it was different. As for not doing it on something like strip clubs, I felt a three-part series on alcohol or parties or hangovers or whiskey, all things I know quite intimately, would be a little banal.

Hobos were something as-yet untouched by me, and I felt like experimenting. Don't worry; the vast majority of my writing will always be about all the stuff you've come to expect and love.
