Well it's a pretty muddy analysis, but you pretty much nailed it.
If you give 4 years per generation, as that's how long it takes to graduate, it would make sense that in 2 years you'll have two full gens gone by, with number 3 now running the show. Aw hell let's name them.
Founders: marked by classic observational humor.
Branchers: consider them gen X for experimentation and diversification. Notice the distinction between styles, voices, and columns.
Babies: Too early to name. Will they return to a classic mode or defy our generational definition by furthering the branching trend?
This is all subject to change. The founders is a clear group, but what is defined as gen 2 and 3 depends really on where we go from here.
