Also do not shave your head! They will not take hair that has touched the floor or is not hairbanded together. Also they do not take processed hair. I doubt you will dye or perm it but just in case. Also no gray haired folks. They have to process the hair to make it all match in the wigs is the reason for all the regulations. You may want to look into pantene's or dove's hair donation. I donated my hair to them. You feel really weird without your hair but you get a personalized thank you from them after you donate it and they give their wigs away completely free.
